This super easy dish is great as a soup or a hearty meal over rice.
We love bringing recipes to you that are easy, tasty and cost effective. With that in mind, this recipe starts with our secret ingredient … 2 cans of Campbell’s Jazzy Jambalaya soup.
Now, while this soup is a great base, it is far from hearty on its own.
1-1/2 cups of frozen, cut okra
1 cup of canned black beans
1/2 lb of large pealed and devaned shrimp, tails removed
1 Tbsp of Ms. V’s Sodium Free One Step Seasoning
1/4 tps of Pepper Flakes
1-1/2 cups of instant white rice, cooked per package instructions.
Pour soup into pot and add all ingredients EXCEPT shrimp and heat to a low boil. Immediately lower heat to lowest setting and add shrimp. Cook on low for 10 minutes, just long enough for the shrimp to heat but not shrink and open.
Serve on a bed of rice and enjoy.
